Once you're in the app, you can search for artists by location and tattoo style. Browse their portfolios, check their availability, and send a booking request — all in one place.
Yes. inkbookd is available 24/7 so you can browse artists and submit booking requests any time of day or night. The artist will review and respond to your request during their working hours.
inkbookd has built-in direct messaging so you can communicate with your artist entirely within the app. You can share reference images, discuss your design, and confirm details — all without exchanging personal contact information.
Yes. inkbookd sends you automatic reminder notifications before your scheduled session so you never miss your appointment. You also have the ability to select how you would like to be notified and at what frequency. All notifications are sent securely through the app.
Cancellation policies are set individually by each artist. Before your booking is confirmed, the artist's cancellation policy will be displayed so you know exactly what to expect. If you cancel outside the allowed window, your deposit may be non-refundable. We recommend reaching out to your artist directly through in-app messaging as soon as possible if you need to cancel.
Yes, each artist will have their own individual deposit percentage amount. Most deposits range from 20–30% of the total tattoo cost. All payments are handled in the app through trusted Stripe software, keeping your payment information safe and secure.
If you need to reschedule, you can send a request to your artist with a new proposed date and time. The artist can either approve or deny the request. If denied, you can work directly with your artist through in-app messaging to find the best date and time that works for you both.
When you sign up as an artist on inkbookd, you get full access to every feature — booking management, deposit collection, availability control, in-app messaging, and your portfolio — completely free for 60 days. No credit card is required to get started. After the trial ends, a subscription of $49.99/month applies to continue using the platform.
No. You are in full control of every booking. Every request goes through your approval — you can review the client's idea, reference images, and chosen date before deciding to accept or decline. There are no auto-bookings on inkbookd.
You set your own working hours and can block any dates you're unavailable. Clients only ever see the slots you've opened up — your blocked days are completely hidden. You can update your availability at any time directly from your dashboard.
Once your profile is set up, you'll have a personal inkbookd booking link you can share anywhere — your Instagram bio, TikTok profile, website, or in direct messages. When clients click your link, they'll see your portfolio, your availability, and can submit a booking request instantly.

Yes. inkbookd gives you full control to customize your deposit amount, refund policy, and waiver consent directly from your artist dashboard. Set the deposit percentage that works for your business, define your own refund terms, and require clients to acknowledge and consent to your waiver before a booking is confirmed — all in one place.
Once a tattoo session is booked and confirmed, that date and time will automatically be marked as unavailable on your calendar so clients cannot book the same slot. If a client cancels or reschedules, your calendar will update accordingly — keeping your availability accurate at all times without any manual changes on your end.
As an artist, you set your own deposit amount. The moment you approve a booking request, inkbookd automatically sends the client a secure payment link for the deposit. Once the client pays, the booking is confirmed. You don't need to chase anyone — it all happens automatically.
Artists who elect to collect deposits through inkbookd will pay a service fee in accordance with our third-party payment processor's rates. These rates will be clearly displayed when you set up payment collection. inkbookd will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any changes to processor rates.
Yes. All payments on inkbookd are processed by a PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processor. inkbookd never stores your full payment card details on its own servers. Your financial information is protected by industry-standard encryption.
Refund policies are set by individual artists and will be clearly displayed before you confirm your booking. If you need to discuss a refund, we recommend reaching out to your artist directly through in-app messaging. If you're unable to resolve a dispute, you can contact our support team at contact@inkbookdapp.com.
inkbookd currently processes payments in US dollars (USD). International currency support is planned as part of our international expansion to Australia and the United Kingdom in 2027.
Download the inkbookd app from the Apple App Store, open it, and tap Sign Up. You can register with your email address or sign in with Apple or Google. Choose whether you're joining as a client or an artist and follow the on-screen steps to set up your profile.
You can request account deletion at any time by contacting us at contact@inkbookdapp.com. Please note that some information may be retained for legal, tax, and financial recordkeeping purposes as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
